Assign officers to one of four Assignment Departments: Military, Technology, Defense, and Logistics. Only Assignment Officers with the correct Officer Type may be assigned to a given Assignment Department. The Assignment Department is unlocked when you start the game.
The Assignment Department has four categories: Military, Technology, Defense, and Logistics. Only Officers with the aligned Officer Type can be assigned to each category. For instance, only Officers that are Officer Type Technology may be assigned to the Technology Assignment category. Each department starts out with only one slot available to fill, but through Research, they can be increased to a maximum of four slots each.
Military
Assigning Officers to this Assignment Department generally improves your Troop Training and Battle capabilities. Assignments here can drastically improve your efficiency at Training Troops, and once you reach higher levels in the game it becomes very important to select the correct Officers at the proper times.
The Military Department starts with only one available slot open, however that can be increased with the following Research:
- Officers I - Military Leader I
- Officers II - Military Leader II
- Officers III - Military Leader III
Military Assignment: Beginning Recommendations
Officer | Why? |
---|---|
Soldier-X | Soldier-X isn't too hard to get (look for it in Bonus - Full Firepower every now and then), and his Command I skill is extremely useful. Command I improves the effect of Quartermasters (plastic production and gather speed), Operators (paint production and gathering improvements, and Technicians (construction, research, and training speed improvements) in the Command section. It also improves Troop Training for both Artillery and Copters. If you have Soldier-X you will almost certainly want to leave him assigned permanently. |
Spencer (B) | Spencer's Technical Innovation skill increases the rate you can build Defense Facilities (see the Defense Factory building). His Recruitment Drive skill reduces the time required to train all types of troops (must be assigned when you begin training troops). Finally, his Army Commander skill increases your deployment capacity (the number of troops you can send when attacking other players), NOTE: Army Commander is common to both Spencer and Brian, so only the highest value will be used. |
Amazon (B) | Amazon is relatively easy to get, and she is unique in one aspect: she can be assigned either to Military or Technology (cannot be assigned to both at the same time), and is the only officer I know of that can be assigned to two different departments. For Technology, she has the same Construction Master and Research Investment skills (described above). For Military, she has Recruitment Drive, which increases all unit training speed (max +60%, duplicated with Spencer). Can be upgraded to Amazon (S). |
Brian (A) | Brian's Army Commander skill increases your deployment capacity (the number of troops you can send when attacking other players), and his Command II skill improves the effect of Strategists (improves attacking) and Auditors (resource assistance, resource production, construction efficiency, and research efficiency) in the Command section. |
Stark (B) | Stark helps during troop training. His Unit Recruitment skill increases the number of troops you can train at a time (increases the training capacity in your training camps). Stark also increases the speed of Artillery and Copter training. You want to make sure Stark is assigned to your Military Department when you begin training troops. |
For higher level players, you will want certain officers assigned to Military when you are attacking, and different officers assigned when you are starting and finishing troop training. Making these changes is tedious and time consuming, but it can make huge differences in how long it takes for you to create troops, and in how many troops you create with the same amount of resources.
Military Assignment: Advanced Recommendations - Battle / Steady State
Officer | Why? |
---|---|
Soldier-X | Soldier-X's Command I skill is useful in all situations, and I keep him assigned permanently. The Command I skill improves the effect of Quartermasters (plastic production and gather speed), Operators (paint production and gathering improvements, and Technicians (construction, research, and training speed improvements) in the Command section. |
Spencer (S) | Spencer's Technical Innovation skill increases the rate you can build Defense Facilities (see the Defense Factory building). His Army Commander skill increases your deployment capacity (the number of troops you can send when attacking other players), NOTE: Army Commander is common to both Spencer and Brian, so only the highest value will be used. |
Hunt Master | Hunt Master's High-Energy Armor skill improves your vehicle attack capabilities when vehicles make up more than 30% of your deployed units. |
Brian (S) | Brian's Army Commander skill increases your deployment capacity (the number of troops you can send when attacking other players), and his Command II skill improves the effect of Strategists (improves attacking) and Auditors (resource assistance, resource production, construction efficiency, and research efficiency) in the Command section. |
Buddy Bunny | All three of Buddy Bunny's skills (Makeshift Defense, Makeshift HP, and Makeshift Attack) increase the battle stats of all your units, and their effect increases each battle round, so they are especially useful if you're using a layered attack. |
Lina | Lina's Special Command skill improves the effect of Commanders (improves your attack stats, including increasing your deployment capacity), Guardians, and Sergeant Majors (both improve your defense stats) in the Command section. Lina is very powerful, however she is an AMS Officer, which means you can only improve her by spending money. |

Here's a concise table with all of the Military Assignment information together:

Technology
Officer assignments here generally improve your Research and Building efficiency, although there are some important officers that improve your battle capabilities as well. Again, as you reach higher levels in the game it becomes very important to select certain officers as you perform certain actions, especially during Research and Construction.
The Technology Department starts with only one available slot open, however that can be increased with the following Research:
- Core I - Technology Leader I
- Core II - Technology Leader II
- Core III - Technology Leader III
Technology Assignment: Beginning Recommendations
Officer | Why? |
---|---|
Gingerbread Man-X (A) | Gingerbread Man-X's skills are helpful during Construction and Research. Ambassador increases the amount of time that is gained when a corps member helps you for Construction, Research, and Healing (duplicated with Dr. S). If Gingerbread Man-X is assigned when you start a Construction task, his Construction Master skill will reduce the amount of time needed to complete the task (note that he only needs to be assigned when you start the construction - you can remove him after and re-assign someone else). Finally, Tactics Guide improves your efficiency at using Military Tech Points (purple: ![]() |
Eric (B) | Eric is one of the more important officers to focus on when you are starting out. Eric's Resource Protection increases the amount of resources protected by your Moneybox when you are attacked (duplicated with Dr. S). His Upkeep Efficiency helps by reducing the amount of plastic your troops consume (note that Mother Frost also has this same skill). Eric's main value, however, is his Research Investment skill (Eric-B max: +180%, Eric-S max: +210%). Make sure Eric is assigned when you start a Research task, as it greatly reduces the amount of time necessary to complete it. Note that Eric only needs to be assigned when the Research task is started - after that you can assign someone else and the task will not take longer. I recommend that you upgrade to Eric (S) if possible. |
Gingerbread Man (A) |
Gingerbread Man's Joint Command skill increases your Rally capacity (max +95%). His Construction Master skill will reduce the amount of time needed to complete a construction task (note that he only needs to be assigned when you start the construction - you can remove him after and re-assign someone else). Finally, Construction Guide skill improves your efficiency at using Administration Tech Points (blue |
Dr. S (A) | Dr. S is easy to get, and has useful skills. Construction Master is common to many, and it reduces the amount of time needed (max +90%) to complete construction tasks (note that he only needs to be assigned when you start the construction - you can remove him after and re-assign someone else). Resource Protection increases the amount of resources protected by your Moneybox when you are attacked (duplicated with Eric). Finally, Ambassador increases the amount of time that is gained when a corps member helps you for Construction, Research, and Healing (duplicated with Gingerbread Man-X). Dr. S (A) can be upgraded to Dr. S (S). |
Wendy | Wendy must be purchased, but if you have her, definitely assign her to the Technology Department. Her Joint Strike skill allows you to instantly deploy a rally, which allows you to quickly strike a target instead of waiting for the whole rally timer to run out. It also makes killing Goblins and Fanatic Generals nice and fast. Her Joint Command skill increases your Rally capacity, and the Raising Army skill increases your unit attack. |
Technology Assignment: Higher Level Players
Officer | Why? |
---|---|
Mother Frost | All three of Mother Frost's skills are useful. Her Upkeep Efficiency reduces the amount of plastic your troops consume. If you are being careful not to keep more plastic on hand than is protected by your Moneybox this won't matter, but sometimes you forget, and this prevents your plastic from being rapidly consumed when you do. The Extra Drills skill improves your defense stat for all units, and the Physical Conditioning skill improves your unit HP - both of which improve your attack ability. |
Gingerbread Man-X (S) | Gingerbread Man-X is still important, especially when starting Construction and Research tasks. |
Eric (S) |
Eric remains valuable into high levels, as you are almost always performing Research. His Research Investment skill greatly reduces the amount of time necessary to complete a Research task (max: +210%). Make sure Eric is assigned when you start the Research task, you can re-assign after and not lose any benefit. I keep Gingerbread Man-X (S) assigned, and swap in Eric (S) when I start researching tasks. |
Silent Night | Silent Night is useful for both Research, and for battle. Her Technology Specialization skill improves your efficiency at using Administration Tech Points (blue ![]() |
Boxer | Boxer's Intensive Deployment skill reduces resource utilization rate when performing Research (since I usually only Research during the Battlefield Research Buff day, this doesn't matter much). His Research Investment skill improves Research speed (max +180%) - note that this is a duplicate of Eric, and has the same max value as Eric-B. Finally, Painstaking Research gives you free Research time (max 120 min). |
Gingerbread Man (S) | Gingerbread Man's Joint Command skill increases your Rally capacity (max +95%). His Construction Master skill will reduce the amount of time needed to complete a construction task (note that it only needs to be assigned when you start the construction - you can remove him after and re-assign someone else). Finally, Construction Guide skill improves your efficiency at using Administration Tech Points (blue ![]() |
Defense
Officers assigned to the Defense Department are the only Officers that will engage in battle when you are attacked by other players. There is much debate about which officers are the best to assign here.
The Defense Department starts with only one available slot open, however that can be increased with the following Research:
- Officers I - Defense Leader I
- Officers II - Defense Leader II
- Officers III - Defense Leader III
Defense Assignment: Beginning Recommendations
Officer | Why? |
---|---|
Captain Glory (A) | Captain Glory is relatively easy to get. All of his skills increase your battle abilities when defending your Command Center. Guardian's Resolve increases all unit HP (max +240%), Defense Elite (duplicated with Reindeer) increases all unit Defense (max +240%), and Offensive Defense increases all unit Attack (max +240%). Captain Glory also has a Talent skill: Glory Shield, which instantly revives 10% of wounded units for the first time your Command Center is attacked after activating the skill. Can be upgraded to Captain Glory (S). |
Reindeer is easy to get, and relatively powerful. He can also be upgraded to Reindeer (S). His Defense Elite (duplicated with Captain Glory) increases all unit Defense (max +120% for A class, max +240% for S class) when defending your Command Center. His Battlefield Supplies increases your Unit HP when defending (max +120% for A class, max +150% for S class). Reindeer's third skill increases your Defense Facility Capacity when assigned (+210% max), and there's a trick to this: Reindeer only needs to be assigned when you start producing Defense Facilities using your Defense Factory for this benefit to take into effect! | |
Reindeer-X's skills all take effect when defending your Command Center, and all of them are doubled when you are on another battlefield (during Deep, for instance). The Battlefield Defense skill increases all unit Defense (max +120% for A class, max +150% for S class) when defending your Command Center. The Battlefield Supplies increases your Unit HP when defending (max +120% for A class, max +150% for S class). His Battlefield Strike skill increases your unit attack when defending the Command Center (max +120% for A class, max +150% for S class). Reindeer-X can also be upgraded to Reindeer-X (S). | |
Robinson only boosts your Commando battle abilities while defending your Command Center, but since Commandos are faster in attack marches it's frequently useful to send only Commandos in an attack. It's also very easy to get officer fragments for Robinson, so it's easy to upgrade him. | |
While May is easy to get, by the time you've got extra slots in Defense you'll almost certainly have better officers to assign there. May's skills boost your Copter battle abilities while defending your Command Center. Since Commandos are faster in marches, I find Robinson to be of more use (plus he's easier to get fragments for, so it's easier to upgrade him.) | |
Nelson is the Artillery equivalent to Robinson and May, as he increases your Artillery battle abilities when defending your Command Center. I don't know anyone who has actually assigned Nelson to the Defense Department, but AMS lists him for beginners so I've included him here. There are much better officers to use. |
Defense Assignment: Higher Level Players
Officer | Why? |
---|---|
Fluffy Bear | Fluffy's skills all take effect when defending your Command Center (as do most of the skills for Defense Assignment officers). His Vehicle Counterstrike skill increases your Vehicle Attack (max +240%). His Overall Weaken skill reduces the Attack, Defense, and HP of all attacking enemy units (-120% max). Finally, his Weak Point Strike skill increases the damage you do to enemy units countered by your units (+30% max). Unfortunately Fluffy is an AMS officer, so it costs money to get him and upgrade him. |
Lu Bu | Lu Bu's Unrivaled skill increases Vehicle and Commando Defense (+240% max) when defending your Command Center. His Sky Piercer skill increases Copter and Artillery Attack (+240% max) when defending. Finally, his Guardian's Resolve increases all unit HP (max +240%) when defending (note that this skill is duplicated with Captain Glory). |
Panda Fu | Panda Fu is an excellent Defense Officer. His Drunken Fist skill randomly increases your unit attack (by +120% to +360% when maxed) when defending the Command Center. His Art of Balance skill converts Unit Attack into the same amount of Unit Defense and Unit HP (max 240%) when defending. His Kung Fu Mastery skill increases Unit Attack, Defense, and HP when defending your Command Center (+120% max), however, if the attack is a Rally with multiple attackers, this effect increases by 20% (up to 100%) for each enemy player in the Rally. |
Captain Glory (S) | All of Captain Glory's skills increase your battle abilities when defending your Command Center. Guardian's Resolve (duplicated with Lu Bu) increases all unit HP (max +240%), Defense Elite increases all unit Defense (max +240%), and Offensive Defense increases all unit Attack (max +240%). Captain Glory also has a Talent skill: Glory Shield, which instantly revives 10% of wounded units for the first time your Command Center is attacked after activating the skill. |
Logistics
The Logistics Department starts with only one available slot open, however that can be increased with the following Research:
- Officers I - Logistics Leader I
- Officers II - Logistics Leader II
- Officers III - Logistics Leader III
Logistics Assignment: Beginning Recommendations
Officer | Why? |
---|---|
Production Expert (A) | Easy to get, he improves your Electricity and Metal resource production (A: max +480% each; S: max +600% each), and his New Medicine skill reduces resource utilization when healing wounded troops (by 60% max for A class, 75% for S class). Can be upgraded to Production Expert (S). |
Doctor Comedian (B) | Doctor Comedian is easy to get at low levels, and helps in numerous ways. His Building Upgrade skill gives free construction time (120 minutes for B class, 160 minutes for S class). His First Aid skill improves the speed of healing wounded troops (+180% max for B class, +210% max for S class). Finally, his Economist skill (duplicated with Amimen) improves resource production for Paint, Plastic, Electricity, and Metal (+180% max for B class, +240% max for S class). He can be upgraded to Doctor Comedian (S). |
Angel Alyssa | An S-class officer that is easy to get, her Hospital Expansion (increases Hospital capacity, max 40%) and Resurrection (converts dead to wounded troops, max +75%) skills are especially useful to help you lose less troops in battle. Her Incorruptibility skill is very useful at higher levels, as it weakens enemy debuffs (Attack, Defense, and HP) against your troops (max -75%). |
Amimen (A) | Her Economist skill (duplicated with Doctor Comedian) improves resource production for Paint, Plastic, Electricity, and Metal (+180% max for A class, +240% max for S class). Her Income Boost skill provides extra resources (+360% max for A class, +480% max for S class) when collecting them. Finally, her Resource Saving skill reduces the amount of resources you use when performing construction (60% max for A class, 75% max for S class). Can be upgraded to Amimen (S). |
Logistics Assignment: Higher Level Players
Officer | Why? |
---|---|
Forest Elder | Unfortunately Forest Elder is an AMS officer, so it costs money to acquire and upgrade him. However, he's the best officer to assign to the Logistics Department. His Casualty Rescue skill increases your Hospital capacity (+60k max), his Wounded Healing skill allows a percentage of your wounded to fully recover (30% max), and the Battlefield Rescue skill converts dead troops to wounded on the first attack of the day (up to 100% max). Finally, his Talent skill Leaf of Life is a manually triggered buff that increases your hospital capacity by 20% for 1 hour. Be sure to activate this skill before you make a large attack. |
Amaterasu | Amaterasu is relatively easy to get for an S-class officer, and her buffs are valuable for Spray efficiency and battle. Her Raised Flag skill (increases duration of Flag buffs, max 40 min) is relatively specialized, but can be important when you're preparing for a large attack. Her Efficient Spray Collection (gain extra spray when collecting, max +120%) is something you should have active when you collect spray to improve your spray production efficiency. The Efficient Enhancement skill is only needed when Enhancing officers with Spray, but it is crucial in making sure you get the most out of your preciously collected spray, improving the utilization rate when Enhancing your troops. |
Angel Alyssa | Angel Alyssa remains useful at higher levels. Her Hospital Expansion (increases Hospital capacity, max 40%) and Resurrection (converts dead to wounded troops, max +75%) skills are especially useful to help you lose less troops in battle. Her Incorruptibility skill weakens enemy debuffs (Attack, Defense, and HP) against your troops (max -75%). |
Production Expert (S) | Easy to get, he improves your Electricity and Metal resource production (A: max +480% each; S: max +600% each), and his New Medicine skill reduces resource utilization when healing wounded troops (by 60% max for A class, 75% for S class). |
Bunny Girl has the same Raise Flag skill as Amaterasu (increases duration of Flag buffs, max 40 min for S, ). Her Shelter Expansion skill increases your Shelter capacity (+300% max). Finally, her Spray Production skill increases the rate of spray production (+300% max). For me it's a trade off between Production Expert and Bunny Girl, and you have to decide if you want more Metal or more Spray. | |
Elijah | Two of Elijah's skills involve destroying Prisoners (Your Loss, My Gain enhances the effects gained by destroying imprisoned officers by +120% max, while Extended Joy extends the duration of those effects by +120% max). Her third skill, Dodge the Bullets, reduces the attacker's ratio of converting your wounded to dead (max 60%) when defending your Command Center. |
Phantom increases the rate of Plastic Production (+480% max for A class, +600% max for S class), gives an extra amount of Electricity during collection (+240% for A class, +300% for S class), and an extra amount of Metal during collection (+240% for A class, +300% for S class) | |
Amimen (S) | Her Economist skill (duplicated with Doctor Comedian) improves resource production for Paint, Plastic, Electricity, and Metal (+180% max for A class, +240% max for S class). Her Income Boost skill provides extra resources (+360% max for A class, +480% max for S class) when collecting them. Finally, her Resource Saving skill reduces the amount of resources you use when performing construction (60% max for A class, 75% max for S class). |
Important Notes:
- If an Officer is assigned in your Assignment Department they may not be deployed in battle or for gathering.
- If two Officers that have the same Battlefield Skill are assigned, the effects do not stack. Instead, only the Battlefield Skill with the highest value is used. For instance, both Amimen and Martin have the Skill: Economist, so if both of them are assigned to Logistics at the same time, only the highest value will be used.
